Citi Pulse estimates your city from network location supplied by Cloudflare. You may choose a different city. Precise device location is requested only if you press “Use my precise location” and give your browser permission.
If you select another city, its city-level location is kept for the current browser tab session. If you opt to save a home city, that city is stored locally on your device until you clear it. For an optional precise-location request, your coordinates are sent to our Worker and our configured geocoding provider to identify your city. Weather, solar-time and traffic providers may receive location coordinates when their services are connected. Wikimedia Commons can receive a city-name search from our Worker and your browser may load its licensed city photo directly. News searches use the city name, not your precise coordinates. Official-source links open external authority websites only when you choose to click them. This app does not itself keep a user profile, place tracking cookies or store your location in a database. Normal infrastructure and provider logs may apply.
When enabled, consultation requests are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and delivered using Resend. We process the name, email and message you submit so we can respond. Third-party abuse protection and mail delivery policies also apply.
Sources may include Cloudflare, Geoapify, MET Norway, Sunrise-Sunset.org, Wikimedia Commons, TomTom, the U.S. National Weather Service, GDELT and original news publishers, as those services become available.
